Confounded by some of the experiences she'd had relating with men in her life, Hathaway Barry
decided to listen more deeply. What's at the heart of it and what's my part in it? She wanted to listen
without blame or judgment to how it is for men in this culture, to hear their honest stories without gloss or performance.
Years later, after lengthy interviews with more than 85 males (ages 9 to 94), BOY: A Woman Listening to Men and Boys
is some of what she heard. Everywhere she goes now she sees men differently.
